Another important distinction is that in Turkey for saying the above you would be imprisoned for 3-4 years on charges of "denigration of Turkishness" (Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code). Turkish history books assert after all that the Turkish rule was the happiest period in the history of such nations as the Greeks, the Armenians , the Bulgarians , the Serbs.
