Israel didnt even say so

Reader comment on item: Turkey in Cyprus vs. Israel in Gaza

Submitted by Jay1 (United States), Jul 21, 2010 at 20:04

Someday, hopefully sooner than later,Turkey will see Israels concerns on the merits again, and not part of a shift of percieved brotherly regional interpretation. For now Dr. Pipes is right. Turkey is a bit too opinionated. Turkey does not liked to be told anything about the largest stateless and state deserving people in the world- the Kurds.Turkey finds it a grand offense to be asked or accused about the Armenian holocaust, that certainly at least ,we know Mexico didnt commit. And Turkey yes,has its partitioned Cyprus issue. Turkish people are good people. They really are. But their government is as, or more flawed ,on many issues, than any Israeli misstep under constant duress. And by the way, Israel didnt even say so.
