There was never etrhnic cleansing of Turkish Cypriots

The ethnic cleansing lie was always the Turkish propaganda that Turkey used as an excuse for invading. An expert author/scholar informs me as follows:

A telegram from Sir Olver, the British High Commissioner in Nicosia on 18 July 1974 to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London, with copies to chanceries in Athens, Ankara, Bonn, Paris, Moscow, Washington, UKMIS New York, UKDEL NATO and Cyprus British Forces Near East, should suffice:

"… I have no (no) evidence of any immediate threat to the Turkish Cypriot Community. There have been no attacks on the community… Mr. Orek (a Turkish Cypriot and former defense minister of Cyprus) confirmed to a member of my staff this morning that the Greek Cypriot community, and in particular the National Guard, had been behaving with admirable caution: there had been a few minor casualties through bullets straying inadvertently across the Green Line, but in general the Turkish Cypriot Community had no cause for complaint in this respect…"
