Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

Islam. I've read some of the opinions expressed on this site and what I found out is that people have many prejudices of Islam, as a religion. Common for all religions is that really none religion whatsoever if being practiced in the rainforest in the island of Java or Canadas eskimo population and their religion, it is that they all are in search of a Balance, some of them may appeal to us more then others but still they are all "handbooks" to the Human spirit and its co-existense with the real world.

To get back to our topic, islam is interpreted differently, in different socities, of different people (just see how many versions of christianty there is), and I must say that it would be a rare sight for two people to agree (not on the most basics) on everything. And that somebody in this forum call upon a reformation of islam is absolute incompetence. Because what they know about Islam is what the majority knows, NOTHING, or at least what the media is deflecting through their one-sighted view. And in cases of Islam being militant, I sometimes find lack in examples of that. If being millitant equals fighting for existense and rights in Palestine, If being militant equals slogans as "down, down, America" for its world domination and double standards while it-self preaches of democracy. Then I'm a militant. People need to be educated on the "world order", the order of capitalism and money.
