Reformation usually means bloody revolution, all I ask is...

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

Reformations are bloody revolutions, All I ask is:

° Don't kill even if someone spits on the Qu'ran ...
° Accept that what you believe is a belief and that you have no right to force it on others.
° Sometime think about the old rules and sayings and ask yourself if you really want to live by them or whether it would be a good idea to improve them.
° Don't do anything to risk your own life or the lives of your family if you live under strict Islam, but recognise that you are being abused by a facist dictatorial system which eventually could be changed.

It is unbelievable that hundreds of millions of humans would suddenly give up something which determines their daily lives, their social interactions and even their food. They could however reject the worst parts and then gradually drift away or redefine their religion just as Christians have redefined their religion over the last 200 or so years. (Today's Christianity is a heresy.)

All that is important is to have enough doubt about the religion being the absolute and ultimate truth. Having accepted that level of doubt may be enough to stop the madness, but we are still talking of something that will probably take a generation.

Remember:

The Qu'ran does NOT require you to wear a headscarf or a sack.
The Qu'ran tells you that everyone is equal AND that everyone else is inferior,
The Qu'ran tells you that there is no compulsion AND you'll be killed if you disagree.
The Qu'ran tells you that women are inferior, and to be beaten if they disagree.
