"out of context"? I don't think so.

Just to illustrate my point, I can quote Biblical verses "out of context" to show how outwardly violent Christianity & Judaism are. For example, the Bible says "Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves all the Virgins." (Numbers 31:17-18) And later in verse 35: "the Jews took 32,000 virgins for themselves." (Numbers 31:35)" "Out of context?" I don't think so. There is just as much nonsense in the Christian (and Jewish) "holy book"(s) as their is in the Quran. The only thing that matters is how the people who self-identify as such behave, whether they are fanatics like the 9-11 crowd or Timothy McVeigh. In the Quran you will never find such a command to kill women and children Another verse in the New Testament says, "Think not that I come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace but a sword ." (Matthew 10:34)
