What many Muslims do not know

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

Submitted by Diana (United States), Feb 1, 2003 at 15:41

A big problem is that Wahhabist Muslim's were and are promoting a very revisionistic account of history and that most "modern" Muslims aren't aware of this. Many Muslims do not even know that the Qu'ran also is an ammalgamation of materials (both oral and written just like the Bible) that whose words were allowed or dissallowed to be in the Qu'ran and were decided upon by a group of mere mortals a couple hundred years after Mohammad's death. Many don't know that Wahhabi's didn't get rid of slavery in Saudi Arabia until , historically, very recently. Many don't realize that their "holy" Qu'ran has already been changed many times over (keeping out whatever they wanted and putting in whatever they wanted). Many don't realize that Mohammad NEVER went to Jerusalem at all. Many don't know that Egyptians were NOT the same as Arabs. Many don't know that Caananites were from CRETE and the agean sea area NOT Arabia.
The Islamist's are currently gaining most of their "converts" and "reverts" to Islam by pandering to disaffected Blacks , big time, and those men, women and youngsters who like being led (or those that aspire to being instant Imams); this they are doing mainly by severely distorting history in a an extremely cynical way (not telling the story as it related to the times, e. g. they neglect to mention that Muslim Arabs were the huge slave traders of the times). Most Muslims actually believe that Christians and Jews enjoyed their being subjegated to them. They believe that all non-Muslims were treated well which is NOT historical fact. Most Muslims don't know that one reason the Crusades were started was because of MIStreatment of non-Jews and lands taken by the sword of Islam (it was either that or death).
Frankly, I don't want to be ruled by a Muslim, a Jew, or a Christian or anyone else when it comes to my worship of God; they won't be my judge after I die. I think laws should be connected to the ten commandments (Islam did NOT come up with anything better). If I did have any earthly ruler I would rather it be a Christian, thank you.
This is really all about world POWER; political, economic, and who will dominate the world not what.
Now, Islamists are even claiming Muslims came first to America (forgetting that according to the mainly historically accurate Bible, Israel was scattered to every nation) as evidenced by Hebrew (they claim Arabic or Aramaic )epitaphs found in the America's and other places.
Almost all our latest terror problems started with a little know plan hatched by Wahhabi Muslims to "take the world for Allah".
Also, Islamist's are constantly telling others they must learn about Islam to "understand" it; I say to them they should put the same effort into studying Christianity so they will know about the lies they are being constantly told about Christianity.
For those offended or "hurt" by Christian statements about Islam, it would serve them well to remember it was Muslims who first started denegrating Christianity on the world wide web. It is the height of hypocrisy for them to constantly denigrate Christians and Jews and not accept commentary in return.
