in response to reader comment: Christianity is more "fundamentalist" and "evil" than Islam

Submitted by Diana (United States), Feb 1, 2003 at 17:53

Christianity is most certainly NOT more evil than Islam In both religions the evil comes in when one thinks they know more about the will of God, for another, better than the individual themself knows. A certain percentage of Christians were misled by their "elite" and did bad deeds in the past to other people. Many Muslims simply have not yet learned from the Christian's past history. A certain percentage of Muslims, who complain about the 'bad works' Christians have done in the past are now doing the very same thing (as they are taught by their "elite") on a much wider (currently almost worldwide) and in a much more visibly atrocious scale (visible due to modern technology). Freedom of religion is each person deciding for themselves how best to worship (or not) before the Creator. Islam says it believes in freedom of religion, however it really does not because freedom with submission is no freedom at all.
