in response to reader comment: Islamism = Cowardice

Mike,

When America decides to fight, they fight on all fronts. the media front, the popular front (i.e. through music, rallies, propoganda, etc.), military front, political front, etc. the reason for this is because they know that they are fighting a losing battle. they spend millions (billions? quite possibly...) of dollars on propoganda because they are so desperate to gain support...they know that the people will not decide on their own to support the U.S. because the people, through common sense, will realize that the Islamists are right. the people, if left to think on their own, will choose the right path, no matter what. therefore, America has to resort to brainwashing its people against its enemy, namely, Islam.

The Islamists, on the other hand, know that they are fighting for the Truth. they know and understand that they are on the right side and they dont need to waste money on brainwashing (in the amount that you do in America). and they do not "run and hide", rather, it is tactical movement. Gureilla (pardon my spelling) warfare is used when one side is stronger than the other in sheer man-power and weaponry; it was successfully employed during the Vietnam War by the VietCong against America (causing a crushing defeat to America, i might add). the Islamists use these tactics to fight the terrorizing Americans (and modernists) who have come to destroy their way of life (true Islam) and establish theirs (secularism, capitalism, etc.).

finally, i will point out that the Islamists do use some forms of media and publicity...they do every now and again broadcast on television (Al-Jazeera), and other small forms of media. However, it is not their priority as they know that they are fighting for a Just Cause, and they do not need to brainwash people for them to believe it. my regards, Mike.
