hmm...a few points to consider

first, i agree that Christianity (and especially Catholicism) has been used for many acts of brutality, and that not all Muslims are violent. However, your facts aren't wholly true. Europeans banded together with Muslim Africans to exploit "pagan" Africans for the slave trade. Most European countries were Christian, but that does not mean the slave trade was instigated by the Church. But I agree with your closing statement, most religions have been used to justify horrendous acts.
