Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

I would like to clarify some of the issues you raise in your article.

First you are correct all religions have had people carry out atrocities in their name. You can not find one that has not. However, the atrocities you cite by the Christians are the ILLOGICAL outworking of Christianity. None of those actions can be traced to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Not one. In fact, Christ said, "My kingdom is not of this world lest my servants fight", and, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." The message of Christ is clear that's why the cry for centuries has been hypocrisy. A lot of "Christians" do not follow the teachings of Christ, like many Muslims do not follow the teaching of Allah.

However the violence of Islam is the only logical outworking of the Koran. Where as Jesus says offer the Gospel in peace and love, Allah demands subjugation of this world and the next by the sword if necessary. You are called to "Spill the blood of the infidel". Please, hear me, I AM NOT saying Muslims are bad people, or all Muslims are killers, or that the Koran is evil. I am saying you have no other Logical choice to follow if you are to strictly adhere to the teachings of your God and his Prophet. Violence is the only logical choice. Quite the opposite it true for Christianity.

Lastly Hitler was not a Christian. I don't know where you got that idea. Hitler was an atheist. In all his writings he clearly rejects God. He admired and followed the teachings of John Paul Sarte and Nietchze…Hitler himself admits that the foundation of his philosphy and the NAZI party was aethism.

Thank you for listening Sir.
