Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

Submitted by Richard D. Deets (United States), Aug 14, 2002 at 18:29

Islam may change it's stripes but it will always result in oppression of people who do not follow its belief system. Please tell me which Islamic nation is a benevolent nation that permits Christians to practice their belief system, which includes witnessing to non-Christians? Which one establishes hospitals to care for the sick? Not only the wealthy, but all of the people?

Grace is not the thrust of Islam. It is the thrust of Christian believers. We have sent missionaries throughtout the world to bring help to the people.

According to the most recent poll in India, Mother Teresa was recognized as the person who has the most salubrious effect on the people of India. Please name of follower of Islam who has done the same.
