"Peace" is always defined in Islamic terms...

Muslims claim that they want peace and that the US (and the rest of the world) does not understand them. That sharia is a good thing and islamic law is good and just. But historically that has not been the case. Sharia is not a fair and just system, but a legal system designed to promote islam by making life so unpleasant for followers of other belief systems that they have little choice but to convert.

Furthermore, the peace spoken of by muslims referes to world domination. That is the only time when there will be peace between islam and other religions: when islam dominates the world and other religions (and athiests) are second class citizens. A religion that promotes hatred and violence "In the time of war" is nothing but a cop-out as the time of war can be constituted to be any time where sharia is not enforced in a nation. It would be rationalised as that nation being at war with allah.

The claim that islam is a peacefull religion is utter nonsense. From day one islam was at war and has always been at war. The method for growth in islam is war and violent force. The statement that "USA is the enemy of Allah" is complete drivell. This is taught no doubt by islamic fundamentalist with the purpose being to justify violent attacks on US soil. The USA does not prevent islam from being taught within its borders: it is a free country. I gues that would mean that any nation where freedom (including the freedom to reject religion and embrace "porn, sex, bar clubs and wine dens") of religion is espoused is an enemy of allah.

This is my point: an enemy of allah then my muslim interpretation (certainly by Muhammad Shakeel Faiz's interpretation) is any person or state that does not enforce islamic law. Given this belief system and verses such as this: "Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." (Surah 9:27-) in the quran, all muslims are commanded to fight against the US and other western nations with freedom of religion. In fact, they are threatened with punishment it they do not: "If you do not fight, He will punish you sternly, and replace you by other men." (Surah 9:37-)

I think it is clear that western intellectuals understant the important message of islam which is why they reject it. Since the quran does not abrogate itself (despite verses in the quran to the contrary) the two verses quoted above stand as law to muslims. No wonder we hate islam.
