HOW WILL THEY STOP?

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

Submitted by Jay McDonnell (United States), Oct 7, 2005 at 11:59

With whats going on in Iraq, I wonder why we don't do more to show the world what really is happening. Especially the Iraqi and Arab people.

I believe if we constantly show dead and blow up Iraqi's who have been killed by other Muslims on TV news broadcasts(particularlly Al-jaazera), that they will get sick of seeing it. We must be truthful and SAY that Al Qaeda has killed another 80 muslims today(and flash to their PROUD STATEMENTS OF SUCCESS) and show all of the gruesome blow up bodies. Then we show it some more. AND MORE. AND MORE. And then, maybe then they will want to do something about it themselves.

I live in NYC and I am of Christian faith. If Christians were killing other Christians because we have a Jewish mayor, I would do everything I could to make it STOP. I would work diligently to disuade this silly few (AND IT IS SILLY, JUST LIKE MUSLIM KILLING MUSLIM CAUSE AMERICANS ARE THERE).

I cannot for the life of me understand why any Arab or muslim would accept Killings of their own people by a group of terrorists who are "fighting" for them? Is this not the stupidest thing you have ever heard....

Their is a great quote from a movie: "A person is smart, people are stupid". I think it could fit... very well.
