DNM: Interesting

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]
in response to reader comment: The enemy within and our dear saheem is editing the Qur'an and what a disaster

Hello DNM,

I found your translation of 9:33 interesting. The Arabic word which Saheem's translation has gives as 'domination' seems to vary with translators. The Hilali-Muhsin Khan translation translates it as 'superior' and Azad has this convoluted translation: 'to prevail over all [false] religion'.

This means the Koran cannot be made clear in any language other than Arabic so as you keep emphasising Islam is only for the Hijazi Arabs. Non-Arab Muslims are victims of spiritual imperialism of the Arabs.

Plato
