To Mr. Smith who just finished reading Koran!

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]
in response to reader comment: Does the Koran really preach peace?

Mr. Smith, I don't know where you found your Koran, but what you say is not true.

I am Muslim and I am proud of it, and I never heard or read that Koran calls for war and that it says to kill non muslim, like you say. It says, "you need to respect other religions in order to be a real Muslim, and in order to respect your own religion". A real Muslim is suposed to respect and help their neighbor no matter what religion the other is.

And it also says, that a Muslim is suposed to protect themselves, if somebody is threatening we are suposed to defend ourselves.

You read the wrong Book, get a better copy of Koran and read it again.! You must have gotten the book from terrorists because they read the wrong book too. They are fighting in the name of Allah. They should be ashamed to say that, because Allah did not put us on this earth to kill each other.

Now, as I said before, get a new copy of Koran and read it again!

And people, please go to your local bookstore and get a copy of Koran and read it as Mr. Smith suggested, but do not get a cheap copy with wrong translation, because that will confuse you, just like it did Mr. Smith

Thank you
