Islam changes like the devil changes

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

Submitted by Dan (United States), Aug 13, 2002 at 12:08

Consider the naivete of Daniel Pipes' argument: "No matter what Islam is now or was in the past, it will be something different in the future. The religion must adapt to modern mores."

Yes, the Islamists certainly have adapted to modern mores. Instead of riding horseback to kill the "infidels," they now ride 767 jet airplanes! Instead of swords, they strap bombs to their bodies.

Even the devil stays up with technology to accomplish his purposes in a modern world. But his goal has never changed and never will change--to usurp the throne of the Lord Jesus Christ and to destroy those who remain faithful to Christ and His Word. And the devil receives much applause from the deceived as he makes his grand appearances as "an angel of light."

To cite the example of one Islamic nation's (Turkey) seeming "progress" is absurd. Its supposed deviation from the Islamic norm is only for the purpose of gaining what can be gotten from those who swallow the Islamic lie: "we, too, can be peaceful and loving. Please let us in."

And thus the tolerant, simple-minded westerner allows the Muslim "camel" to stick his nose into their tent. And the whole Arab world knows their proverb well enough to tell you what is to follow.
