Islam still has to grow up - but beware in the meantime!

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

After my research, I find that Islam is a very troubling religion. Muslim everywhere seem unable live side-by-side with other religions. For instance in Muslims countries generally treat other religious groups poorly. In place where Muslims are a minority they play "we muslims are the victim" for instance in a Buddhist country such as Thailand, the muslims in the south are killing the Buddhists and demanding a separate homeland. They justify murder under the guise of "Jihad" (holy war).

Muslims constantly claim the reason for terrorism is because american is anti-muslims. Yet if you look at Pakistan it treats other ethnic groups badly who also happen to be fellow muslims. ie Punjabi muslims have tortured, killed and oppressed the Sindhi muslims. Yet the muslims never complain if they kill their own people. I saw a lot of muslims protesting against iraq war, and they claim that the 7/7 bombing are because of this, yet no muslims have protested about saddam killing his own people.

In response to the original article, christians have commited many crimes in history, but they have admitted them!. eg Germans have apologised, British hang their head low about their empire building days etc... However, the muslim has committed just as much butchery and cruely in his history. The arab Muslims were also involved in slave trade too. The muslims have their invaders and conquers, at one time south of Spain was even under Muslim rules and as east as India. Yet the Muslims have to admit the guilt of his ancestor's crime. They justify it all by claiming it as Jihad! (holy war).

Islam still needs to grow up. Its followers are blinded by following their faith. However, part of me believes that there are those in Islam that would causes us much harm....
