More Appropriately - The future of the world under Islam

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

In the grand scheme of Islamists, once a certain country or place has majority Muslim population there will be a call to proclaim Islam as the law. So what happens to all others, especially to people of henotheistic religions like Hinduism or atheists like Buddhists? They will be "Allowed" to practice their religion. No Equality here. No Democracy. Islam has to be supreme, of course.

Muslims can't agree between themselves about their prophet and caliphs and how the quran should be interpreted. It will lead to a lot of bloodshed among the Muslims.

All traditional cultures will be destroyed. No Hindusthani or Classical music (let alone Film songs or Bollywood Films), No grand Hindu temples (they will be considered ----whatever they will consider), no libraries (except the various Quran and Hadiths and its interpretations, of which there are plenty).

Saudi Arabian version of Islam will be pushed down the throats of Muslims around the world. It will be very unappetizing. Not to mention, extremely unsavory for non-Muslims.

The world will be a very sad place - no music, no dance, no art, no fashion. People going about wearing funny beards and covered heads. Women in tents. Children sodomized in secret. Beheading, cutting of hands and feet = entertainment.

Am I being alarmist or unreasonable here? I seriously think the above version is a possibility. Going by the fact that increasingly young Muslims have a longing for ?True Islam? pure and unpolluted.

There is no quest to become good ? and do good. No consideration of trying to understand other religions ? except a vague, banal preconceived notions being re-confirmed.

And finally, in a Islamic world, people would like to become like Muhammed. But was he a good man. Honest? Kind? Considerate? One needs just read the history and life about the man.

In about another 150 years Islam will dominate the world just because there will be more Muslims than others.

Anyway, I will not be around by that time. So perhaps I needn't worry.
