Tolerating Intolerance

Reader comment on item: Islam's Future [Can Be Modern]

Submitted by John Alder (United States), Aug 14, 2002 at 02:50

Mr. Pipes:

I've been reading your columns for a while now. For the benefit of yourself and all your readers I am posting a link to an outstanding and disturbing article about Islamist activity in Europe:

http://www.partisanreview.org/archive/2002/3/bawer.html

It focuses on extraordinary post 9/11 events in the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway which for the most part except the killing of Pym Fortyne have gone unreported here in the U.S. I would really like to see you address and publicize the issues of alienation and nonintegration of Muslim residents of those nations and how to bring mainstream media attention to those issues.
