Equal rights to women? Sure.

Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?
in response to reader comment: read everybody who objects ISLAM

Dear Dr Pipes,

Hassan from Pakistan repeats the lie that Islam gives equal rights to women. You may have to share your husband with three other women and Hassan calls it equal rights. You, as a woman, may inherit only 1/2 of what your brother inherits, and Hassan calls it equal rights. You have to wrap yourself in a black tent on a hot day when your husband is comfortably roaming around in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, and Hassan calls it equal rights. You may not be able to drive just because you are a woman, and Hassan calls it equal rights.

So little we see when we close our eyes!
