Greetings Cara Mia,

Whether you choose to accept the Judeo-Christian religion as a way of life is your choice. But historically, Europe chose a separation between the state and religion and after the treaty of wesyphalia in 1648(?) chose nationalism in preference to Europe divided between various aspects of Christian thought. Another reason was science and reason gained precedence over belief.

In Islam, we give reason which is essentially finite, a second place to faith. Let me give you an example here. You can see when a person is happy but no one has seen what happiness looks like. We can see the effects of happiness but not happiness. Similary I can ask you name to the largest number and then add 1 to it. So reason and products of reason are subject to your senses and do not transcend them.

We Muslims, do not see a conflict between science or reason and faith. We hold science is subject to faith because science explains a part of God's greatness.

if you feel you are capable of conquering the world and imposing your faith you are free to try. But first sort out the mess in Afghanistan and Iraq. Where we Muslims are suffering you. Bin Laden had no business to cause 9/11. But then what is your reson for the atrocities in Iraq ?

So you see, cara mia, it cuts both ways you have your point of view and I have mine.Where can we reach a middle ground and live in peace? My answer is to accept and respect each other because this world is big enough for all of God's creation.
