The Truth Hurts

Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?

... We have to accept the truth, you have to accept the truth, no matter how much it contradicts to your long held logic. Give the logic up. ... That's how it goes, that's how science goes.

Science tells us that it's not the interpretation of the Koran that is wrong but what the Koran says itself. It's plain and simple and obvious when you read the passages of the Koran. There is no way around it! A grade schooler would interpret it the same way! It's crystal clear. It has nothing to do with "depending on how one interprets it." If a passage says to kill all infidels, it means to kill all infidels, it does not depend on one's interpretation. Why do you refuse to accept this?

I accept it. The Koran is evil. That's a fact. I am not Jewish. I do not have any preference for any group of people. I don't care about the race or ethnicity. I don't look at that when I meet or deal with people in everyday life, in the workplace and out. I am not going to give preference to a Jewish person over a Muslim person just because one is Jewish and the other is Muslim. Whoever is nicer to me. I look at the character of the person, the individual. And I know that just because someone is Muslim does not necessarily mean he is evil. He could be not following the Koran, much like a Christian not following the bibile, partly relgious, ignoring bad phrases, blah blah. I don't care if you're Jewish or if you are a Muslim. But I do accept the basic fact, Dr. Pipes. The Koran is evil. And you should accept that too.

Thanks for the article. I disagree but as usual I enjoyed reading your articles.
