Dear Shayna,

You have asked a very good question. But here is an anomaly for me as a Muslim.

We believe as an article of failth that Allah (swt) was not begotten nor does he Beget. It is important to keep this in mind.We also believe that the Prophet Jesus (also called RuhAllah or the Spirit of God) was born of a virgin. That he was bestowed with the power to perform miracles by Allah (swt). That he was not crucified but was lifted up and another was crucified in his place. We do not believe he is Son of God.

I cannot comment on the bloodline of the Prophet Jesus as it is meaningless to me because Islam asks us Muslims to believe Allah (swt) is capable of all things, This Earth and everything in it and All creation came into being by His speaking just one word and that was "Qun" or be and it was. The command is so perfect that all things are and exist in harmony. If you choose to confim what I am saying you can refer to Surah Yasin in the Quran e Karim.

Now you will ask, where is the logic in this. There is no reasoning and just belief here. Islam starts of with and lays emphasis on belief and makes reasoning subject to belief. So for a Muslim , Science does not transcends belief. Let me tell you why. If I were to ask you to name the largest number and you did name he largest number, then there is the possibility of adding one to it. This is because reason is essentially the product of the 5 senses we are bestowed with. But then there are things we feel but have never seen. These things are known to us by their effect, like happiness or sadness. You can call them emotions but they do exist. Physics was the first science to accept there are minutae that are not visible to the senses but are known to exist. This was done at the Copenhagen Conference in 1912 or in years close to that. How many have seen a portion of the atom that physics deals with? These are known to us as lines on photgraphs or however they see and record the effects of the experiments scientists conduct and quantities are attributed to it.. No one can say today, science which is a product of our senses is complete today or at any given point in time time because it evolves and shall continue to evolve over a period of time. Todays paradigms may be in sufficient tomorrow. So unless we believe in ourselves and have out faith to guide us, we will lose out. Anothe example and a more down to Earth example is You can prove betond a shadow of doubt what your name is. It is always based on hearsay. Think about it.

This is my answer to your question and I hope it satisfies you.

With Regards
