Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?

Submitted by i gomes (United States), Sep 28, 2007 at 17:23

I was raised among Muslims. Being a Christian I was always sidelined. Islam does not support freedom of speech and expression. Recently in Bangladesh a Cartoonist was arrested for publishing a cartoon in a national newspaper. It offended the Extreme Muslims in Bangladesh. Therefore the secular government had to arrest the Cartoonist and the Newspapers Editor had to apologize publicly on national tv so the Islamic factor does not retaliate violently. This is all too common.

When Mohammad at age 50 is criticized for his marriage to a six year old little girl , then Muslims around the world lose the rational thinking process and become violently defensive , which raises a concern of Muslim acceptance of the prophet's pedophilia. At what point does a human being become irrational and will protect the ideology spread by a pedophile.

I am deeply concerned about the behavior that Muslims projects throughout todays world. How long shall human close their mouth and take the abuse that Islam brings to free men and women?
