I think this is a great idea, but probably undoable in this world climate today. However, the world is so threatened by this volatile "religion" or ideology, which best describes it, and which- as I understand it, calls for world takeover. From all that I have read in the past few years, they are succeeding... they are instilling fear in every democratic country which they have infiltrated and given unbelievable concessions. In this country they are being appeased left and right and have infiltrated into our government, our military, our schools and universities in a slow, methodical and deliberate attempt to conquer. As I see it, our media and our government is not acknowleding the danger we face to any appropriate extent. The appeasement goes on.

I attended the panel discussion last nite at Temple Beth Hillel in Lower Merion. It is good to hear reality speak. However, it is impossible for us to "help" so-called moderate muslims stand up to the radicals in our and their midst without risking a fatal outcome. People have been murdered in the Netherlands and here in our own country for doing this and we cannot expect muslims to risk their lives and their families lives by opposing the radical takeover that is planned and occurring. I think I heard that France is beginning to take a position other than appeasement, but it may be too late!!

When I was a student at Temple in the late 70's I had a professor for a Religion course by the name of Ismail Al Farouqi who taught about Islam (primarily),. He and his family were murdered in their home some years later and I think I have figured out why. He may have spoken unfavorably about Islam- I just don't remember much about the course- and that would have explained the violent retaliation.

This is the sort of reaction that "moderate" muslims fear, and it is valid. This is the same fear that is being instilled in our media and our government as we turn a blind eye to what is actually happening. Who will speak up, besides you and a handful of others (and FOX news). I'm very much afraid for all of us. Maybe banning the Koran and closing the Mosques is a good first step. Don't expect support from "moderate" Muslims. They have to protect themselves or suffer the consequences. We are in a similar position, I'm afraid. The war on Islam is here at home, but has yet to be declared. It's too dangerous.
