The religions contain fundamental claims that are in contradiction with each other. Your idea is unworkable because it would gut the directives of each of the various religions. You might as well ask that we all declare our own religions of no particular worth. It won't happen, and shouldn't. I have a particular faith that is exclusive but despite that I do not hate those of other religions. I seek by grace and kindness to appeal to, rather than convert, others. I am tolerant of other faiths in the original sense of the word, which does not mean I abandon the distinctives of my own faith.

You have not correctly identified the root of the problem. As Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn once said "The line dividing good and evil passes through every man." That's nearly a quote if not quite exact, and it is true of myself as well.
