Quran is a manual of hate and discrimination. Mohammed practised Quranic teachings by killing, torturing, robbing and raping. Why is there any debate that this ideology should not be banned right away? What kind of reformation Dr. Pipes is hoping or waiting for? Removal of all later Madina suras (which are violent hateful and discriminatory)? White-washing violence from Mohammed's biography and rewrite it to make him look like a very kind man who never killed, robbed or raped? ...Dr. Pipes, dont hold your breath.
