Ban Islam?

Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?
in response to reader comment: It is impossible to ban Islam, but you could accomplish 90% of it

It saddens me that the messages of God through scripture can be misinterpreted and used against us. Neither the Jewish, Christian, Hindu or Buddhism holy books adhere to any "death of infidels". Only in the Muslim holy book does this exist.

In my limited exposure to religion, it seems to me that God only wishes for love, respect, and tolerance to be given to all of his children. Everyday, we are being sued to remove anything that might be offensive to someone's civil liberties- forcing us to hide our patriotic and religious symbols, yet we are constantly 'do-gooders' trying to appease those who come to our country for a better paying job or a better life for their families. Why???
