Banning has been effective on many occasions

Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?
in response to reader comment: Banning always backfires

I've seen many failures of banning something. But I've also seen successes in banning something. Banning isn't a one shot issue. It depends on what's being banned. I know it will never happen in a feminized, liberalized, politically correct cultural swamp like America but I believe banning Islam would be successful, When something is protested on a large scale the silent majority often appear. And most people, I believe, wish Islam and its followers would be deported and deposited in the desert that spit it up in the first place.
