Ban hate speech

Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?
in response to reader comment: Ban the Qu'ran

Submitted by Henrik R Clausen (Denmark), Aug 30, 2007 at 16:51

Banning hate speech from the cover of the mosque is an option. We must make sure that racism, incitement to violence, threats and intimidations (in particular towards Jews, apostates and reformers) do not take place in what is supposed to be 'holy' houses.

We need to check them. An FBI representative, and translation into western languages of everything spoken or distributed.

If they violate the guidelines, tax excemptions and other 'religious' benefits need to be revoked, for clear reasons such as racism etc., branding the offender as an radical outcast with no standing in society.

This should leave space for moderate islam, if it can be found, to grow.
