Utopia?

Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?
in response to reader comment: Ban Islam before it's too late

Islam must change in islamic nations, not in western ones. That could be as we want to change the christianity or the judaism in arab nations... it's an absurdity. Then we have to interrogate ourselves about the nature of all religions... in the Marx-Bauer discussion about the judaism we can find the same problem: if we replace "jew" with "muslim". It's a problem of which there isn't yet a solution.

The concept of "individual" lacks at all in islamic culture because it rises only in the christian one. When a muslim becomes an "individual" he stops to bea muslim. IMHO this is the only way. We also must interrogate ourselves about freedom & liberty that we are losing even in our homeland. Before the USSR fall, did we accept all the russian people without to investigate about their politic belongings? I think we have to do the same for muslim people. Every utopia is wonderful, but it must work in the reality. :-)
