Reader comment on item: Ban Islam?

Submitted by Chris (Australia), Sep 3, 2007 at 03:34

Pauline and Paul Green called for a restriction of Islamic immigration - switching places to persecuted Christian minorities. This is not a Ban on Islam, it does however restrict the growth of Islam by not increasingly importing a population that often rejects integration and the common legal and moral principles that bind a society together. Islamic countries do much worse. Note that Immigration policy is nothing to do with rights and should be concerned with the general improvement of the social conditions of the host country. Strongly discouraging Islamic immigration is a great idea for Australia.
