You are wrong in stating that all countries practiced slavery... India is the oldest civilization in the world(proved by all historians) and there was no slavery. India in the recent 2000 years or so has never attacked any country. In the 1956 war between India and Pakistan, India overran pakistan occupied areas but retreated to older border as per treaty( till today we are facing problems from the territory we took over by the way of insurgents and killings and cross border terrorism).

Even when India was Imperialistic in annexing countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Srilanka, parts of saudi arabia( there are poems in mecca about the king Vikramaditya who ruled over them and the poem is in high praise.

Indians were robbed of all their riches by the colonials like French, Portugese, British etc . Wherever we were asked to go by our then rulers for doing jobs, indians went and enriched their lives. They mixed into their culture, and are still lving in harmony but for Srilanka (where the atrocities by the Sinhalese have turned some of the Tamilians to terrorists- I dont think that it is right way to get your equality but to some extent justified. Muslims and the west influenced media call some groups hindu fundamentalists, but it can be proved that these fundamentalists have come about in the last 2 decades only after accepting lot of BS from both christians and muslims. Both are spending billions of dollars in India to convert Hindus into their religion to this day.

The poverty in India is because of the 150 years of plundering done by the colonial British. They did some good though like English education in Cities, etc but they also did some damage like creating Pakistan which has become the motherland of all terrorist organisations in the world by training them and has now given Iran its Islam Bomb.

UN may say that India has a large number of Poor people but in terms of need, we help each other unlike what happened in the US during the last year's Typhoon where one state inhabitants stood at the border with guns and turned away the neighbouring state's citizens. (Hurricane ) We have much lower divorce rates than the west and still have family values. We live with our parents even after marriage and take care of them when they are old. We still have no major strife among ourselves though we speak 500 dialects /25 languages and our food items are different every 100 miles.

Britain, for its own selfish end of dividing India, made people like Max Muller dream up an aryan invasion which has been definitely proven as false. The wound they created by part dividing India (no severence with both communities having total separate states) is still creating tension in the area. US is I agree the biggest donor but it is having its own agenda for the same. It is still arming Pakistan knowing fully well that Pakistan is harbouring Al Queda and Osama and helping the Taliban against the Afghanis.

Briain is openly supporting US. Susan is wrong in saying that there is no brain in the third world country. India's contribution to science, arts, sculputure are going on for several thousands of years. Indians invented the ZERO, without which there would be no computer today. US went to Iraq saying it hs WMD, but has not found one inspite of searching for 2 years. Bush maybe was so sure about it as he had sold it to Saddam himself.

West have money but look at the most LIBERATED country Sweden. The population is dwindling as there is no family and few marriages. Where has their liberation-education taken them.

I will agree that US is totally liberal when it elects its first Black President.
