Yes, I condemn all that.

Reader comment on item: How to End Terrorism:
in response to reader comment: not enough

"do you condemn also mistreatment of women in islam?"

Yes. Do you condemn the mistreatment of women in Christianity? My aunt works in the ER, she meets them everyday.

"do you condemn also the exaggerated requests of your fellow muslims in western lands (ie wearing a burka to PREVENT identification)?"

Yes. But out of the hundreds of Muslims I know, I've never met one that wants that, even the few that wear a face veil. How many do you know well, by the way?

"do you condemn also the mistreatment (at best) of non-muslims in muslim lands?"

Yes. And of the mistreatment, rape, killing, abuse, and hatred of Americans in American lands. That's humanity, not Islam. Go talk to my dear Christian friend, sweetest lady I know, that gets smacked upside the head everytime she doesn't "submit to" or "obey" her husband. Those jerks are all over the place. They all are a bunch of pathetic fools, regardless of being Muslim, Christian, or whatever.

"terrorism is nothing compared to the rest of fanaticism involved in islam. what do you say to the people of your own faith that openly say a muslim woman must not marry a dirty infidel?"

What do I say? I married one. I don't have to say anything. I know LOTS of Christians that say the same about a Christian woman marrying a Muslim. There is the Baptist lady that when she found out her son was gay said, "well, thank God he's not Muslim". Hate is everywhere. I'm here to encourage, share, and support, not to ask stupid questions. Good grief. Yes, I support the mistreatment of Muslim women and Westerners...no one is going to be happy until that is what I say, is that it? Why would you ask me these things? I'm a born and raised American. I vote Republican. If my husband ever tried to put a burqa on me, I'd pound him one. I came here to just to say, "hi friends, I'm on your side. I am American, I love America. I respect you, I respect your beliefs. I have some different perspectives, but thank God I'm an American, because I can".

But I've just been getting creamed here. Thanks for the welcome.

I still appreciate your insights and your right to speak. I won't stop listening just because I don't always agree with what you say, or crazy things you ask me. There are no dumb questions, I guess, as my 5th grade science teacher said. So ask away and ignore me if I get crabby if you ask me any of those above questions again.

Peace,

Salihah
