Well? What's wrong with that?

Reader comment on item: How to End Terrorism:

Submitted by Melvin A. Fechter (United States), Dec 5, 2006 at 22:32

Right now the Islamist terrorists seem to be blowing each other up, generally directing their terrorism against each other. Well? With that, what's the problem? Regional conflict? You mean, not only in Iraq but the Sunnis and the Shiites of Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and all the -stans, will start killing each other? Well? Need I ask again? To us, what's the problem? You mean, it may hamper the flow of oil? Tough! Yeah, that would create problems for us, but we'll learn to do without oil and perhaps we will develop alternative sources of energy much more rapidly. Maybe without the despised dollar flowing into their pockets, they will run out of ammunition. Who knows? Everything else has failed. Let's try encouraging them to kill each other. It's what they're good at.
