Dr. Pipes:

As a parent of two kids, I am interested in how you plan on addressing this.

From facts on the ground it appears that we are bound up into World War III, only we refuse to admit it. Europe seems lost, Africa and Asia are on the brink, and the rest of the world is infested with "moderate muslims" who seem to be preparing the ground for the ultimate upheaval and waiting for the rocks and trees to call out the Jews to be killed behind. All this, and the birth rate for this group of people far outstrips anything seen in the civilized world.

This leads to a grim future for my kids, whom I am raising according to Jewish moral values to have respect for other people, other viewpoints, and other religions.

Where are the world leaders, where's the coalition against such a nihilistic future? I can't believe that your readers are the only ones to see this.

Daniel Pipes replies:

Democracies are historically slow to rouse themselves, and this time is no exception.
