Muslims don't dare to fight islamism

Of course Mr. Pipes is right. We non-muslims may defeat islamism from inside, but only other muslims may defeat their ideology, by proving it wrong. Because we will always be looked upon as outsiders, whereas other muslims are insiders and thus trustworthy.

However, so far other muslims do not speak against islamism, because they are are afraid of being called traitors to islam, and because they are afraid of being sentenced to death and executed by islamists.

Therefore, mr. Pipes ows us his explanation, how he will persuade muslims to stand openly up against islamism ?

I don't see it as a process of persuasion but of making the circumstances easier for moderate Muslims to emerge, by providing them with protection and incentives.
