I found the most effective response I had to the Islamists was to invite select members to join me and my family to Church. Surprisingly, I WAS TAKEN UP ON THE OFFER. I would apologize in advance because I knew they couldn't reciprocate and invite me to their mosque. The most startling was their witnessing of my child's Baptism and the joyful songs they heard sung. No politics mentioned from the pulpit, no bile toward anyone, just an exclamation of joy. These moments did more to point out to them the stark differences in our respective faiths than any words I could offer.

THIS TRIBE IS SEEKING TO RECLAIM PAST, LOST GLORY, imagined or not. It's not really about religion. It's an ideology, yes, but on very weak ground.
