There is much controversy as to whether those "facts" (as you call them), actually have any foundations. The fact that most of western history excluded anything islamic because state and church would not allow it, they were too pompous. As you now state. And I am not stating that there aren't any great people in the world that aren't Islamic. I'm just stating the contrary to your comment that there are NO great thinkers who are Islamic, which is false in it's entirety.

And yes, there is a lot of damage still in japan, the original victims still exist. But you'd have to watch some NHK to know that. American media hardly has anything on it, except perhaps national geographic and discovery, you should watch it sometime.
