...unless, of course, you adhere to the PC rules of non-engagement with reality.

As we learn from reading Dr. Pipes' article,
"...no one who knew him said a bad word about him, which is important, for it signals that he is not some low-life, not homicidal, not psychotic, but a conscientious student and amiable person. Which raises the obvious question: Why would a regular person try to kill a random assortment of students?"

While it is true that invoking "taqiyya" and "kitman" is a gross oversimplification of the overall phenomenon, it's still a good place to start, even if all that accomplishes is to alert us to the possibility that a SEEMINGLY [my emph.,] normal person can be harboring deep hatred and just biding his time till he feels the need to express it in violence.

In the case of Tehri-Azar, I would say he is also a victim of Islamic deception: an impressionable unstable individual unburdened by normal moral constraints, the likes of whom are the fodder for Islam's wars. Still, while I do believe he is in a sense a "victim" of an ideology that perpetuates itself by selecting for the most antisocial and exploiting their "talents," while effectively repressing dissent by individuals possessed of a conscience, he is, by virtue of his unconscionable translation of twisted belief into action, a guilty "victim" nonetheless.
