Harrak, I forgot to even mention the economic weapon in my post. Remember, the U.S. broke the back of the USSR economically, not by going to war with it. The Muslim world is even more at risk to this kind of warfare the the Soviets were. All America and the EU has to do is stop buying your oil and stop selling your food.

Okay, the first one isn't going to be easy. However, if this really does start to escalate, it will happen. We all did without Mid-East oil during WWII, when Germany controlled North Africa. We could do it again if we had to. Why do you think a Republican administration is suddenly making a big push for alternative energy development. That subject has always been anathema to the Republican Party.

Unfortunately for the Muslim world, we could easily cut off your food supply. Yes, there are a few countries in the Muslim world that can produce enough food to feed themselves, very few. The majority of the food going into the bellies of people in the Muslim world comes from the West, and much of that is as humanitarian aid. We could cut that off tommorrow, then where would you be. Armies don't go far on empty stomachs. And there is only one Muslim country with a strong enough agricultural sector to actually produce food for export, and that is Iraq. As good as they are, they can't produce enough to feed all of the Muslim world without help from the West.

Welcome to Global Economics 101. Once again, the Liberal West wins: the Islamofacist world loses.
