Tovey (United States), Nov 6, 2009 at 15:13 Dr. Pipes: I'm guessing this just got updated: Fort Hood is just the latest on the latent (note the psychology of it all-irony in its most poignant form) tendencies of repressed Muslims. In its most expressed form Islam may have its moderate expressions; but for the hard core, moderation is apostasy. In the actions of Nibal Malik Hasan, we see that repression mature into full expression of the hatred that has its full support in the words of their Prophet. Somebody else may ask regarding the intentions of his actions, who knew? The answer is: it is always there; it is only a matter of when.
