Tariq,

I can't abide this text speak rubbish, it's not English, but I'll humour you for a moment.

to pcmadness:
"[PC]I'm sorry, muslims such as yourself keep on saying here that we (non-muslims) should read about Islam to understand it."
[T]unless u learn a religion how can u undersand it?

"[PC]I don't want to, nor should I have to."
[T]correct, but then u shouldnt criticize it either.

"[PC]You are free to practice whatever religion you like."
[T]thts right""

I can and will commentate on what I see. If that happens to be criticism so be it. I see mobs of muslims on the the rampage. I see a religious group that is so insecure in itself that it cannot take criticism of any kind, without a backlash of some type. I see a religious group that seemingly turns a blind eye to totalitarian control, violence and destruction from it's members. I see unchecked fundamentalist factions within the religion that seem free to operate within its bounds and within the mainstream infastructure and follower base. [fundamentalist clerics and immams in mosques all over the world]. Are you suggesting that there is a hidden reason why militant/fundamentalist Muslims/Islamists are so v olatile? You incinuate that upon learning and understanding Islam I will sympathise with their actions.

Funny things is I don't need to "understand" any other religion [bhuddism, Hinduism, Christianity] They seem to be able to control themselves without resorting to the scenes we see in "all" forms of news

"[PC]I don't and won't go quoting verses from the koran because I know nothing about it. "
[T]good. tell ur christians friends that.""

Which Christian friends? Who are you referring to? I don't speak for anyone wlse other than myself.

"[PC]been far too much preaching on these boards anyway. To the point where frankly I'm bored."
[T]too much preaching? i have barely started..."

I await will baited breath, expecting the usual guff.

"[PC]What I want to find out is why Islamists are not putting their house in order?"
[T]wot is islamist?""

A typical response. Let me help you. Islamism refers to anti-secular political ideologies derived from fundamentalist interpretations of the religion of Islam. Islamists generally assert that Islam, as both a religion and a social system, should be practiced as a philosophy by the government. Many Islamists advocate a theocratic political system that can implement legal, economic and social policies in accordance with certain interpretations of Islamic law. This stance is typically considered a form of triumphalism.

The use of the term "Islamism" is controversial. Individuals labeled Islamists often regard themselves as simply observant Muslims and oppose using the term. In contrast, moderate Muslims and liberal movements within Islam generally apply the term to distinguish themselves from groups and philosophies with which they do not identify. However, the term is often misapplied to denote Muslims who engage in violent or insurgent activities.

Islamist is a recognised term in this day and age, regardless of it's application be it controversial or not. It's all in the name of the SAME religion.

"[PC]With modern media the most visible form of islam is the radical variety and it is frightening the majority of the non-mulsim population."
[T]and whose media is the most watched media

Are you suggesting that it's all being made up? No wait, we're back to the victimisation of 1.5 billion muslims aren't we. You poor souls. How do you manage to face the world every day? Can Islam not take responsibility for ANY of the actions carried out in Islam's name?

"[PC]It has to be up to muslims to sort out their own dirty laundry rather than us trying to convince muslims that there is a problem that is getting worse day by day."
[T]who caused that dirty laundry? US foreign policie did. and even if it didnt, still its not our dirty laundry. Osama saddam etc are not muslims, so we dont have to stop them, and if u think that we SHOULD then read ahmedinejad's statement:

That is total rubbish. you have it all covered don't you? It's great to be able to wash your hands of everything. You and your kind have had issues long before the US even existed. You talk to me about believing the propoganda on our screens and then you come out with that little gem. OBL and Saddam ARE muslims. They might not practice in the same way you do, but they believe in what they are doing and they do it in the name of your God and YOUR religion.

You are told that it's the big bad west causing ALL your problems. Maybe you should look within your own religion and your countries under Islamic law. You may be suprised to find part of the problem there.

"[T]If you say it is true that you (Germany) massacred and burned six million Jews during the Second World War, if you committed this massacre, why should the Palestinians pay the price?" (Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad)

Hitler was a chrisitan, so y should muslims pay?""

On one hand you say OBL and Saddam are not a muslim and therefore, it's not a muslim issue and then you say Hitler was a christian, incinuating it is a Christian issue. Contradiction of the century!

"[PC]I don't know what a true muslim is, but when I see thousands on the rampage burning as they go, shouting anti western slogans and holding placards calling for beheadings I start getting concerned"
[T]ever thought WHY they do it?

We're back to your poor old Islamic/Muslim sensibilites. A corrupt Danish Immam drew some cartoons and blamed it on a Danish newspaper, so muslims riot worldwide. We in the west are so hurtful to you aren't we? Grow up! They would have found something else if it wasn't cartoons

Make all the excuses you like, it doesn't wash with me or most people.

"[PC]How do we know who's a nutter and who isn't. It's up to you to root out the bad apples."
[T]if a person is a terrorist, hes not a muslim

Rubbish!
