Anachronistic Muslim Poulation Not Fitting into US Society

Reader comment on item: Sudden Jihad Syndrome (in North Carolina)

Submitted by William Robert Jack (United States), Mar 14, 2006 at 17:42

Your article is, in my opinion, exactly on point. Muslims, every Muslim, in my opinion, is subject to this syndrome. The NY Times recently published an article on Muslims in America.
I responded with the letter below.

"This in response to your articleTo Lead the Faithful in a Faith Under Fire - New York Times describes a pitiful situation in which Muslims are allowed into this country, and then because of their anachronistic beliefs, just don't fit into society. Now if they were like the Amish people that would be different. The Amish practices also are anachronistic, but they are peace loving people who have learned how to adapt and develop economic solutions to support their way of life. On the other hand the Islamic practitioners, the Muslims, they most often sit around hatching up ways to make life miserable for themselves and the rest of society, feeling alienated, and sorry for themselves. Why have we allowed about six million of these people into the US. They are a boiling pot of resentment and hate brought on by their Islamic practices and beliefs. Where the Amish people will sit around and decide how to make more furniture to sell, the Muslims sit around figuring out what bridges to blow up. We are at war with radical Islamists, and their sympathizers--let's kick them out and keep them out."
