"The problem is that many muslims dont know Islam. and instead of arguing (with) those who do, u should learn from us, and argue with the extremists and teach them the real Islam. this way those extremists will feel ashamed as they have to learn Islam from non-muslims and hopefully practice the true and peaceful Islam."

Tariq, what you don't seem to understand is that we aren't in the mosque and no Muslim is going to take our word over an Imam who preaches violence. Why should he? No matter how much you impart to us here, we can't argue it with another Muslim. He'll always have a new verse or hadith to counter any point we make. We haven't learned Islam as you have and we don't have the same access to the mosque that you do.

It's up to peaceful MUSLIMS to teach Islam to anyone who has strayed. And you should do it before they don another suicide vest or rent another SUV.

You should be calling on your imams to condemn anyone who issues fatwas calling for the murder of people who speak their minds.

Islam is YOUR religion, not mine. It's up to YOU to preserve it, not me.
