Nabil,

we all know that religious books were written ages ago and have lost quite a lot of significance for today's world. whichever religion we talk about the case is same. the books should be kept in house, read a couple of times, with a complete sense as to what is outdated for today.

Unfortunately muslims like u mentioned, in their weird sense of delusion, mythical grandiose and arrogance still keep going to their book. it is the saner muslims who have to start questioning. christianity as it stands today, (not that it is a role model) stands there because of its own people. not because of muslims, hindus or buddhists. and linking political events with religion is not going to help.

there was a lot of opposition to the american war in vietnam. no muslim was anywhere on the scene. there was a faulkland war. there were many wars. it is this us vs them attitude of mainstream islam (i know you are a fringe element and minority in islamic world) thats going to drive people of other faiths to fundamentalism. there are over 4 billion christians, hindus, chinese and a lot of buddhists to name a few. islam today is waging all their illusionary wars essentially because of the liberal values of other people. this is the height of lack of any human values...
