The so called Gospel of Barnabas is a fakeReader comment on item: Sudden Jihad Syndrome (in North Carolina) Submitted by No Dhimmi (United States), Apr 14, 2007 at 22:33 Dear Saad, I'm sorry to inform you that you are another muslim who has succumbed to the fallacy that the "Gospel of Barnabas" is legitimate. Muslims have for years made the mistake of quoting from this Medieval forgery that has been discredited by scholars. It is a favorite of muslims because it purportedly makes statements that correlate with the Islamic view that Jesus was not crucified and that somehow the Bible has foretold the coming of Mohammed. The Bible does not anyway foretell the coming of Mohammed. The belief that the word used to describe the Holy Spirit in Greek text can be construed as referring to Mohammed is both weak and ignorant. Christians would discount your belief in this on many levels. Jesus' own words deny the fortelling and the prophethood of Mohammed. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, no others will come after me." Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
