Dr. Weatherill,

While no right thinking person can disagree with your views, the plain fact is that Islam does not agree. You make several points. The main thread of your post falls against the Islamists,(who comprise all Muslims) They will never agree to co-exist with other religions, and cultures. I get tired of saying that it is an incontrovertible pillar of their faith to Islamify the host country, and the world. That includes the so called moderates. They believe that as well. Their very passivity in the face of the radicals is proof enough of that. Many of the Muslim posters on these boards endorse that view. None deny it.

You mention benefits. Yes by all means, the vast majority of the virulent hate spouters, certainly in the UK make a good living, even a very profitable living from the state. Witness the hook handed Abu Hamza, who was apparently able to purchase a $500,000 house, while in jail for terrorist activities, and how did he come to lose his hands in the first place? Yet still we provide safe haven for these people. I could go on and on, the examples are numerous and telling, but we all know them anyway, the US is no less soft on them.

In spite of the recent spates of arrests and trials in the UK, The Muslim Council of Britain. (They have a Parliament as well) continue to call for change. Now we have calls from the Council to educate all children in Islam, while stating that Muslims learning about Christianity is taboo. They want a whole raft of changes to the eeducational system, all to further the cause of Islamic indoctrination of young and impressionable minds. Including banning swimming lessons during Ramadan, and making them same sex at all other times. This at a time when normal people would want to attract less attention to themselves, they focus on Islamic values. This shows the contempt in which they hold us, that they fear no backlash. Above all it shows their unswerving aim of the true goal, the Islamification of Britain, and the world.

I agree with your wishes for peaceful co-existence, but that is not the wish of Islam. I will conclude this already lengthy post with an old saying. The only thing necessary for evil to triumph (and make no mistake, Islamism is inherently evil) is that good people do nothing
