in response to reader comment: every muslim is marked as a terrorist

Submitted by Catmann (United States), May 26, 2010 at 12:44

The growing anti-muslim sentiment is a result of Muslim actions exclusively. On almost a daily basis there are a reports of potential Muslim threats and actions. Strangly when these incidents occur the people who represent the Muslim community offer a tepid condemnation or nothing at all. The organizations that attempt to mend fences like CAIR have demonstrated duplicity. In particular, CAIR's alleged core values posted on their website tout their condemnation of terrorism and yet 3 of their principals in Texas (right after 9/11 were arrested for providing financial support for Hamas and Hezbollah. In the face of this and growing muslim anti-U.S. and anti-Semetic demonstrations on campuses it is a wonder why Muslims are tolerated at all. The public face of Islam is violent at worst and confrontational at the least. An example of the latter is the placement of a Mosque in close proximity to the World Trade Center which is interpreted by non-Muslims as a clenched fist with the middle finger extended.

The notion that Islam is the religion of peace is so patently false I'm surprised that your co-religionists actually promote that. I suppose it may be for them but it's a nightmare for everyone else.
